Little Dorothy Gale of Kansas dreams of what lies over the rainbow.  One day a twister hits her farm and carries her away.  At the end of the rainbow, she finds herself in picturesque Munchkinland; home of the fascinating people, the Munchkins.  Come join Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion and Toto as they travel the universe of Dorothy's imagination.

Jason Robert Brown, the author of the musical says, "it's about one moment. It's about hitting the wall and having to make a choice, or take a stand, or turn around and go back." These are the stories and characters of today. This beautiful musical transports the audience from the deck of a 1492 Spanish sailing ship to a ledge 57 stories above Fifth Avenue to meet a startling array of characters ranging from a young man who has determined that basket-ball is his ticket out of the ghetto to a woman whose dream of marrying rich nabs her the man of her dreams and a soulless marriage.

French Creole fiddler and accordionist Dennis Stroughmaatt and his band, Creole Stomp, bring the excitement and joie de vivre of Louisiana Creole, Cajun and Zydeco music to festivals and concert stages across North America.  The sound of Creole Stomp is an ever-evolving gumbo.  Traditional Louisiana Cajun two-steps, reels and waltzes sizzle in the stew along with Creole blues, mazurkas and zydecos.

Regina Lampert (Audrey Hepburn) is about to divorce her husband when she finds that he has been murdered after converting every penny they owned to cash, which is also missing.  She meets Peter Joshua (Cary Grant) who changes his name every 15 minutes or so and is interested in her husband's money, which seems to have come from a WWII payroll he stole.  His partners in crime are also very interested in where the money is, as he stole it from them as well.  Everyone assumes Regina MUST know where the money is.  The situation becomes more tense when the searchers begin turning up dead.

John Wayne as George Washington McLintock, "GW" to friends and alike, is a cattle baron and the richest man in the territory.  He anxiously awaits the return of his daughter Becky who has been away at School for the last two years.  He's also surprised to see that his wife Katherine has also returned.  She had left him some years before without really explaining what he had done, but she does make the point of saying that she's returned to take their daughter back to the State Capitol with her.  Between his wife, his headstrong daughter, the crooked land agent and the thieving government Indian agent, GW tries to keep the peace and do what is best for everyone.  Co-stars includes Maureen O'Hara, Jerry Van Dyke and Stephanie Powers.

Come celebrate the 30th anniversary of the classic science-fiction adventure, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial, presented outside at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheatre at sundown.  The story of a meek little boy who discovers a stranded extraterrestrial and must find the courage to defy the authorities to help the alien return to its home planet.
