LZP Productions is a not-for-profit developmental repertory company bringing quality theater to Palatine and the surrounding communities. Their emphasis is on the growth of a diverse community of theatre artists to enhance the status of Palatine and these artists.

LZP strives to broaden, strengthen, and enrich the theatrical experience of its audience through a mix of well known, new and seldom performed musicals and occasionally plays. At the heart of LZP's artistic identity is the belief that every production should be an opportunity to understand the world we live in, not simply escape it.

Current Season (2011-2012):
Bye Bye Birdie (Sept 16-25, 2011)
The Christmas Schooner (Nov 18-27, 2011)

TesserAct Theatre Ensemble is a non-profit organization that prides itself on being "the place where community and performing arts meet". We are a family friendly ensemble that strives to produce quality live entertainment for the community while building intergenerational bonds with our performers.

Founded in Palatine in 1993 by Tamara Kist-Jackson, TesserAct is a community theatre based on the term from the book A Wrinkle in Time, by Madeline L'Engle. A "Tesseract" is the fourth dimension, the bridge, the wrinkle allowing you to cross from one place to another, one time to another.

While producing several plays in the 1990's, TesserAct Theatre Ensemble went into a hiatus until January of 2010 when it reemerged with its production of All Aboard For Broadway (written by Craig Sodaro).

THEATRE NEBULA

Email: info@theatrenebula.org
Phone: 847-359-9378

Current Season (2011-2012):
Dracula the Musical (Oct 7 - Nov 6, 2011)
The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus (Dec 16-18, 2011)
Marathon 33 (March 2-18, 2012)
Complete Works of William Shakespeare: Abridged (May 11-27, 2012)

Theatre Nebula is a non-profit, non-equity professional theatre company that promotes and nurtures the appreciation of theatre and the fine arts within the community and among high school and college students. By involving them in productions with the interaction of professional theatre artists, and by exploring diverse theatrical styles, Theatre Nebula achieves one of its major goals: helping these talented individuals excel in the field of theatre.

The plays Theatre Nebula produces are normally chosen to give the students some insight into the history or the arts, or to help them explore the human condition. Often, post-performance questions-and-answer discussions are held with the attending audience and a panel of educators or experts connected with the play's subject matter.

Among the programs and services we offer are involvement in play productions, both on and off the stage; workshops with theatre arts professionals; internships that provide paid on-the-job training in the arts; and the awarding of a substantial Talent Grant College Scholarship to a student majoring in one of the Theatre Arts or Theatre Education.
